Bromelain is the collective name for the enzymes found in various members of the Bromeliaceae family. Bromelain from the pineapple plant is the most studied and the one produced by Szymotech Biosolutions. The proprietary blend is especially designed for feed use and it can decompose the hydrolysis of protein, polypeptides and esters, yielding peptides and amino acids. The major biological activities of Bromelain are : Proteolytic activity,anti-biotic synergism, immune enhancement and some undefined biological activities. Vetmelain is an enzyme feed additive containing 75,000 CDU/g of Bromelain, especially designed for poultry and pig feed. [...]
